Countrywide Surveying Services has successfully rolled out property survey, valuation and risk management software firm Landmark Valuation Services Q-Mobile product on Surface Pro 4 Tablet PCs.
This will streamline mortgage valuation reporting for its team of over 430 surveyors by fully digitising the entire process.
Landmark’s Q-Mobile application enables Countrywide’s surveyors to securely capture valuation site notes at each property on the tablet PC, replacing manual methods and reducing errors to ensure compliance with Lender and Panel requirements.
Q-Mobile also integrates Rightmove’s Surveyor Comparable Tool (SCT); this provides the team with direct access to the property record they are surveying on the SCT via a simple link and then pulls the data for the selected comparable properties back into Q-Mobile. This reduces manual data entry and saves time.
Countrywide is utilising Landmark’s mobile managed service, which ensures the team has access to the very latest tablet hardware and automatic Q-Mobile software updates, in addition to ongoing hardware maintenance and support. This is automatically included as part of Landmark’s comprehensive managed service plan.
Matthew Cumber, director of field operations at Countrywide, said: “As an organisation that handles thousands of annual valuation instructions, the mobile managed service from Landmark gives us total peace of mind that our surveyors are capturing the right information for every job in an efficient manner.
“By using Q-Mobile on the latest Surface Pro Tablets, our team can access everything they need onsite: the camera is integrated, site notes are completed on the tablet, and comparable data accessed online. It’s a far more streamlined process than ever before. ”
John McCurry, head of business improvement at Countrywide Surveying Services, added: “This is just the start of our overall improvement programme to free up more time for our surveyors and deliver the best tools available for them to do their job successfully.
“Working with Landmark means we are not only able to apply new intelligent layers of risk management to our processes, but we are removing manual processes to streamline the whole survey and valuation trail.
“This is a project that has been driven by our people and customers. We’ve been talking to customers through our NPS questionnaire and through regular client meetings. We’re looking to disrupt the status quo and apply new standards to the way in which mortgage valuation instructions are handled.
“Our aim is to sign-off 99% of properties on the day we inspect them, but safe in the knowledge that we’ve considered all risks and the validation is accurate. It’s also a major factor in freeing up surveyor capacity – we see that technology is the backbone of making sure capacity is not an issue in the future.”
Mike Holden, head of client relationships at Landmark Valuation Services, concluded: “Via our mobile managed service, we are supporting both surveyors and lenders in being able to turn-around instructions faster than ever before, yet without compromising security or quality.
“By arming Countrywide’s surveyors with highly-portable tablets and a mobile surveying solution with inbuilt validation processes, it really is delivering the best of both worlds for all – speed and accuracy.”
